THE HISTORY OF AHV
Until 2014, Drs. DVM Gertjan Streefland ran his own veterinary practice for many years. Early on, Gertjan recognized the significant challenges emerging in our sector—particularly within the animal health continuum. This insight drove him to co-found AHV with Jan de Rooy, aiming to deliver innovative animal health solutions for clients in the Netherlands and beyond.

From our mission and vision, we develop patented AHV QSI Technology and produce innovative solutions in-house. Alongside these next-generation tools, we have built our full-service Animal Health Vision Concept to support and guide farmers in their transition to the AHV platform.
Through knowledge sharing, continuous research, and the development of our technologies and products, we enhance the performance, efficiency, social welfare, and environmental impact of farms. By building a sustainable, high-quality, and healthy food supply chain—rooted in the principles of quorum sensing—we can make a real difference for the future.
