Longevity and Milk Production Improvement in Dairy Cows Using Plant-Derived Products
Research article – Journal of Veterinary Health Science
This study looked at how AHV products affect cow health and milk production. Researchers analyzed data from over 213,000 cows across 1,200 Dutch farms. They focused on how long cows live and how much milk they produce.
The results showed that cows treated with AHV products Quick™ and Extra™ lived 0.7 years longer on average than cows that didn’t get these products. On average, treated cows lived 6.52 years.
Also, on the 10 largest farms, cows using AHV products produced 1.6% more milk per lactation compared to untreated cows.
SELECTIVE DRY COW THERAPY
AHV Quick Tablet can be used as a non-antibiotic option for Selective Dry Cow Therapy. Research has shown it reduces mastitis prevalence in the next lactation compared to traditional methods.
conclusion
In short, AHV products help cows live longer and produce more milk—supporting both animal health and farm performance.
HOW TO USE QUICK?
Administer tablets orally using the AHV-applicator, after removing the foil first. Use when cows are in lactation. Do not use during the dry-off period or within 4 weeks prior to the dry-off period. If repetition is advised, administer every other day. Always use in combination with an AHV Aspi product. The tablet dissolves quickly.
Use Quick reactively in case of (severe) claw, udder or uterine health issues.
