Seawater Programme

After smoltification, fish are transferred to seawater, where they grow until ready for harvest. The Seawater Programme promotes fish health and their natural resistance. Factors like handling, bath treatments and other stressors can impact fish performance in seawater. Health challenges are closely linked to stress and immune depression. Providing fish with support to maintain their welfare and performance is crucial for achieving better production and economic results in seawater.

How we work

Promotes the health of fish so they can fully express their genetic performance potential. Salmon Farms face various challenges that can reduce production efficiency. The Seawater Programme supports fish resistance naturally and efficiently, with no withdrawal time.

Benefits

Technology

Seawater programme products are formulated with a mix of natural ingredients, including our AHV QSI Technology, which eradicates bacterial biofilm and enhances fish well-being. Our AHV experts can help you develop a customised plan for your farm’s needs.

Animal Health

There is no doubt that the productive performance of fish greatly depends on their health and overall well-being. Supporting their natural defences and preventing the formation of biofilms by infectious bacteria benefits  the fish and increases  the final biomass growth and productivity.

Financial

Healthy fish require fewer curative interventions, less handling, and consequently, less direct and indirect costs for farmers. Ultimately, an efficient productive cycle that yields positive economic results is one where fish are in an optimal health and welfare condition.
