The AHV Freshwater Programme promotes the health of fish from fry to smolt and supports the immune system and growth. A healthy, robust fish in freshwater is essential for their future performance in seawater.

Technology
Our products in the Freshwater Program work synergistically to promote the good health of juvenile salmonids. Our unique technology targets bacterial challenges at their core, disrupts the Quorum Sensing process and eradicates the biofilm structures where detrimental bacteria hide from the fish’s immune system. Without the biofilm, the immune system can efficiently eliminate these bacteria.
Animal Health
Challenges in the freshwater stage of development (water quality, handling, vaccination, smoltification) give stressful situations in fish that can make them prone to pathogenic bacteria, poor smolt quality, poor welfare, and death. The Freshwater Program is designed to promote the health and well-being of fish and decrease the negative impact of stress and bacterial outbreaks in juvenile salmonids.
