AHV StopLac is a complementary feed for cows.
AHV StopLac is a complementary feed designed to support a smooth and controlled dry-off.
By influencing rumen fermentation, StopLac helps to temporarily reduce milk synthesis, allowing milk production to decrease naturally without restricting feed or altering milking routines.
The formulation supports lactose reabsorption and helps maintain a slightly lower udder pH, creating conditions that are less favourable for bacterial growth. This contributes to reduced udder pressure, less leakage, and improved mammary tissue comfort, helping to protect udder health during the dry period and into early lactation.

Field trials in the USA including 2 farms and 404 cows (233 AHV, 171 Control) showed that cows receiving StopLac at dry-off had:
- 70% difference in milk leakage after dry-off
- 6.7 lbs difference per day in milk production (100DIM average)

HOW TO USE STOPLAC?
- Immediately following scheduled cows’ last milking, orally administer four AHV StopLac boluses at the same time using the AHV-applicator.
- Move StopLac cows into dry-off pen away from sounds and sight of the parlour.
- Ensure that good quality feed and water are freely available and stress is minimised for two days post dry-off.
WHEN TO USE STOPLAC?
At dry-off, administer 4 tablets orally once per animal within 2 hours after the last milking.
