How we work

The AHV Skin & Hygiene Programme offers hygiene solutions for surfaces on and around the animal. Good hygiene and sanitation are important to keep skin in perfect condition. Nevertheless, keeping large numbers of animals together poses a risk of unwanted interactions or contamination between animals, that can result in damaged skin or claw problems. With our Skin & Hygiene Programme, we work towards a healthy living environment for the animal.

Benefits

Technology

AHV Skin & Hygiene Programme is designed to create a clean and sustainable living environment by targeting surfaces on and around the animal. It also provides immediate support for skin repair processes and for improved blood flow to tissue.

Animal health

Applying the AHV Skin & Hygiene Programme improves the cleanliness of the environment and the animal itself. It increases hygienic status by promoting a healthy environment. Animals raised in a healthy environment will enjoy a higher health status.

Financial

Unsanitary stalls combined with skin lesions pose a risk of contamination with harmful bacteria and cause discomfort and pain to the animal. If these affected areas are not addressed in time, this can have serious consequences for the animal’s health and welfare. A more energetic animal often reduces direct and indirect costs.
