Each programme within the AHV Cows & Calves segment is based on a predetermined approach. Within the AHV Calf segment, four programmes can be distinguished: Digestive, Immunity, Respiratory and Skin & Hygiene. Together with your AHV Specialist, you can assess herd health based on farm data and farm goals.

Calf rearing focuses on following protocols monitoring and supporting the health of their respiratory system, intestines, and immunity, as well as providing a clean and stress-free environment for the calf for optimal growth and development.

Healthy calves are an investment for future high producing dairy cows, as well as for maintaining a healthy ambiance. The potential of the future producing animal is determined by its early life growth and development. Calves that become high producing, longer living dairy cows break-even on their rearing costs, and to an extent that they start to become a very successful return on investment.
